A very successful charity concert took place recently in Oxford featuring former members of the Hilliard Ensemble together with Paul Giger, a Swiss violinist and composer. The concert was organised by CAN Trustee, Phil Powell and his wife, Sarah Loving who were delighted that the concert raised almost £2,000.00 and they wondered if there are other CAN supporters who would like to organise a CONCERT for CAN?

The Oxford concert showcased some amazing music, including the UK premiere of Tenebrae a piece written especially for these musicians by the Swiss composer, Roman Rutishauser and helped to raise the profile of the charity with a new and different audience.
Sarah has asked that a special mention is given to the Swiss record label DIVOX who not only provided copies of a CD by the musicians at a very special discount but also asked that all profits from the CD sales go to CAN.
If you would like advice on how to organise a CONCERT for CAN please get in touch with the CAN office. Perhaps you are a musician or else have links with performers from the classical, folk, jazz, rock, R&B or rap music worlds? We would love to hear from you.
