CAN operates within a number of key sectors and has evolved from supporting porter welfare through the provision of rescue shelters, to building and running schools and health posts.

 

In recent years, CAN has developed a mature health service; from construction of the health posts through to running the facilities, including provision of trained nurses and supply of medicine and equipment. CAN has also supported numerous livelihood projects, including the growing and selling of vegetables, and the rearing of animals for sustainable and varied nutrition and income generation.
