EVEREST THE HARD WAY 50TH ANNIVERSARY EVENTS

In 1975 Sir Chris Bonington led an expedition to climb the South West face of Everest: Everest the Hard Way. At the time there had been no successful summit of Everest using this route. On 24th September 1975 Doug Scott and Dougal Haston summitted Everest by the South West Face becoming the first Brits to successfully summit Mount Everest. In September 2025 we will be holding a series of events to mark the 50th anniversary of this momentous achievement.
