On Thursday September 24th 2020, CAN will be hosting a live screening of Everest: The Hard Way, followed by a Q&A with Chris Bonington, Tut Braithwaite, Pertemba Sherpa + other special guests from the original expedition team.
The event will be compered by the wonderful Julie Summers. Together, on a live Zoom link, they'll be reminiscing about their incredible mission to the summit via the south west face, no doubt with tales you might never have heard before.
On that particular date, forty-five years prior, Doug Scott and Dougal Haston became the first Britons to stand on the mighty summit - and the first ever to do it via the infamously difficult south west face. It's sure to be a truly special evening.
Tickets will be available soon, costing £5 - all proceeds to CAN.
