Glyn & Jon 'Climbing' Everest - 8,848m - Celebrating the 1975 Summit for CAN!

Our Operations Manager, Glyn Utting, and Trustee, Jon Maguire will be climbing the height of Everest this month - all 8,848m - to raise money for CAN and to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the 1975 Everest Summit of the south west face.

They'll be climbing 6000m on their stairs, beginning on Monday 21st September, taking three days to complete. They'll then complete the last 2,848m on Carrock Fell in The Lakes on September 24th, the day that Doug and Dougal summited.

They'll be climbing Carrock Fell six times - that's twice the height of Ben Nevis!

You are more than welcome to come and join them if you're in the area - as long as we all remain socially distanced and come prepared for any type of weather. They would absolutely love your support - and you can walk with them for as much or as little of the challenge as you wish!

Please contact jonmaguire@canepal.org.uk if you'd like more information!
