The Community Action Nepal [CAN] General Data Protection Regulation [GDPR] registration form is already on the website - GDPR link. This will operate in tandem with the “Legitimate Interests” policy, giving us flexibility to provide supporters with information via records previously used to send out newsletters and lecture details.  A CAN UK designated officer is the Data Controller of any personal details on record. The CAN Charity Manager is the Data Protection Administrator.

PERSONAL INFORMATION COMPRISES: supporters’ names, addresses, email addresses, telephone numbers, dates of first contact, whether or not a Gift Aid Form/GDPR/Standing Order form is on file and your preferred means of contact.  This is information as supplied by the individual concerned.

DATA ACCESS RIGHTS: no personal details are passed to a third party without the individual concerned giving their approval.  Supporters have a legal right to request details of the information held on record by CAN.

COMMUNICATION: all communication with individuals is via telephone, email or post.  A supporter can update the information CAN holds at any time or they may ask, at any time, for their record to be deleted.  Confirmation of compliance will be given.

CHANGES TO CAN’S PROTECTION AND PRIVACY POLICY: any changes to the above procedures will be communicated to CAN supporters by direct contact, by post or by email.  Additionally all changes will be notified via the CAN website.

CONTACT: if a CAN supporter has a query or request relating to personal data or how that data is used, please write, email or telephone the Stewart Hill Cottage address below or email either of the email addresses.  Communications should be marked for the attention of The Data Protection Officer.
