Student, Adrien Amblard raised funds specifically for CAN and, when he returned from a trek led by Tim Willis - the son of one of Trish’s oldest school friends Val Willis - Adrien wanted to meet CAN Nepal’s Operations Director and hand it over in person.
Adrien was part of a school expedition to Nepal, arranged and run by Global Action. Adrien attends the Lycée Français school in London and the party were out in Nepal for two weeks during which time they stayed in a Tibetan refugee camp learning about Tibetan culture. The group then helped paint a local Nepali Community Centre and we trekked for five days up to Poon Hill over in the Annapurna area.
Adrien was one of seventeen students who were accompanied by two wonderful teachers (Deirdre Maguire & Karen McLoughlin) with Tim as expedition leader.
The above image shows Murari Gautam receiving the donation from Adrien who is also holding a copy of CAN’s latest newsletter, Three Years After.
On behalf of everyone at CAN, here in the UK and Nepal, heartfelt thanks to Adrien for his effort in being so successful on CAN’s behalf.
