KUKUR TIHAR - THE NEPALESE DAY OF THE DOG

Celebrate the Nepalese Festival Kukur Tihar - The Day of the Dog - at Lowther Castle, Cumbria and treat man's best friend to a walk through the park to St. Michael's Church where a short service and blessing will be held. 

A Suggested donation of £12 Online HERE (+ booking fee) - or £15 on the day - entitles one dog to bring two humans. It includes a glass of wine and a Buddhist prayer scarf [kata] for each human + for each dog a Hindu red tika on the forehead together with a garland of flowers around the neck and a biscuit (!) and all present, humans and dogs, will receive a Christian blessing.

The Suggested donation for each extra dog or human in the group - or unaccompanied human - is £5. This donation can be made online HERE (+ booking fee). Donations can also be made on the day when Gift Aid Forms will be available.  Young humans i.e. children are free.
