The current garden at Stewart Hill is over nine years old and comprises a potager walled garden, an organic vegetable garden, an ornamental pool and a croquet lawn. In addition, this year has seen the construction of a greenhouse which embraces wide ranging views of the surrounding fields.
Doug and Trish Scott have opened their garden in support of the National Garden Scheme [NGS] and Community Action Nepal [CAN] every other year for the past five years. They are delighted to offer everyone a warm welcome to this beautiful part of the Mungrisdale valley.
Admission £5.00 [children free]. Home made teas will be available and there will be a plant stall as well as a stall selling Nepalese goods.
Directions to Stewart Hill can be downloaded here.
Doug is passionate about growing vegetables organically and Trish channels her gardening skills into the herbaceous borders and rose collection. The selection in the Image Gallery below illustrates their passion for combining practical innovation and the beauty of plant form.
