CAN Projects Sankhuwasawa district - Walung Walung is a very small and remote community of about 1000 people or 200 families set at an altitude of 1000m. CAN originally received a request for support with re-constructing the village Gompa [Monastery] During this work discussions took place regarding the CAN support for the Walung Health Post. In December 2004 a temporary Health Post was established at Walung Gompa after great efforts by the CAN Health Co-ordinator, the Project Manager and CAN’s Senior Nurse. |
