Fri 12th/Sat13th June  CLIMB FOR CAN, Keswick and Nationwide events 

Climb with Sir Chris Bonington and Doug Scott CBE!  Booking now open.

Book your place at this unique event and be part of the expedition team to scale the height of Everest (8,848m) on the ice wall at King Kong Climbing Centre in Keswick and are inviting up to 240 members of the public to join the climb.

To complete the expedition, the team will need to climb the wall 1,000 times within 24 hours, starting on Friday 12 June.

This special event will also commemorate the 40th anniversary of the first British ascent of Mount Everest in 1975, which was led by Bonington and put Scott on the summit. All funds raised by the project will go directly to the Community Action Nepal (CAN) Earthquake Appeal.

Doug Scott appeals to the public:

In light of the recent devastating earthquakes in Nepal, we are supporting the International Porter Protection Group (IPPG), in conjunction with Community Action Nepal (CAN) to host a special Best of Kendal Mountain Film Festival in Cardiff on 10th July 2015.  The evening will be introduced by Doug Scott MBE.100% proceeds will go to delivering aid to the people of Nepal.We appreciate that many of our supporters are based in and around London and the South East, but why not use this opportunity to plan a weekend in the Welsh hills or send it out to any friends and family in Bristol or South Wales who may enjoy this fantastic night out.
