Climbing ‘Mount Everest Munros’ for CAN June 2014

Everest Him Climber pg 32

The South West Face of Everest

Nearly 40 years ago Doug Scott became the first Briton to climb Mount Everest. This summer, starting on Saturday June 28th, Jamie Mellor and Jamie Howard will climb the equivalent height to Mount Everest in a sponsored walk  across the Scottish Munros. That’s 8,848 metres of climbing (or 29,002 feet in old money)!   They hope to finish the challenge on the 1st July.

The aim of this marathon  walk is to raise funds for two charities – Community Action Nepal and  The Roses Charitable Trust.  The Roses Charitable Trust  runs outdoor pursuits courses from Tavool House on the Island of Mull to help young people who have faced deprivation, disadvantage or exclusion. Visit their website to discover more.

Please support Jamie and Jamie as they prepare and train for this charity walk.
