‘Saturday Night Fever’ came to Cumbria when nearly 90 CAN supporters, volunteers, sister charities and CAN staff from Nepal and the UK enjoyed a night of music, dancing and food.
The event was held at Mungrisdale Village Hall, below Blencathra in the Lake District. The evening was an opportunity to thank all the many individuals, charities and organisations who make CAN’s work in Nepal possible.
Eight of CAN’s Nepali staff were visiting from Kathmandu and some of our projects. Murari Gautam (CAN’s UK Representative in Kathmandu) introduced the staff to the dinner/dance guests. Purna Gautam (Headteacher of Melachi School and Chairman of CAN’s Management Committee) thanked those who had made their visit to the UK and the evening possible.
Delicious food was provided by Debbie Bainbridge of Choice Catering, live music by Rainbow Sky and beer by David Absalom of Hesket Newmarket Brewery.Go Back
