More than 85 walkers and their dogs enjoyed the glorious countryside at Lowther Castle in a sponsored dog walk to raise money for three charities working in Nepal.
The dogs were given a Hindu tikka blessing, a Bhuddist flower garland and a Christian blessing by Reverend Norman Robinson in Lowther Church. Luckily the weather was kind to the walkers, who rambled around the estate grounds and along the River Lowther, before having lunch at Lowther Gardens cafe. It was a wonderful day out!
The event was organised by Community Action Nepal and Kathmandu Contemporary Arts Centre to raise funds for these charities and Kathmandu Animal Treatment Centre.
Thanks to Lowther Castle for the generous use of their estate and Lord Ian Lang for kindly leading off the walk.Go Back
